The Fair and my number one blue ribbon prize

The Puyallup Fair. Pronounced Pew all up . Indian for" lets eat lots of junk". Fair Scones, Crusty Pups,Cow Chips, Earthquake Burgers, Elephant Ears, Ugota Empanada, I talka Tomucha, Colossal Cones, Funnel Cakes, Petes BBQ, Bighorn BBQ, Sales Family Cuisine.
These are a sampling of the fine cuisine from the fair. I love the fair. Walk around a lot, and ride rides. Stand in line with these people who look strange. Wearing fuzzy hats that resemble a southern bell with psychedelic colors and fuzzy wuzzy stuff hanging all over. Every one looks like a fool at the fair , Except me of course.
I decided to get a little culture and go on over to the 4-H building. See some exhibits and check out the homemade stuff. Look at the livestock. I got to watch young women in high school set the table, make dinner , clean up. Ladies seated nearby were judging them. I felt that I was back to the future. There was a 1000 pound hog with 13 piglets. That was a site and a smell. A two fer. The regal lamas are the best. What do farmers do with them? They guard sheep. Yep. Protect em from predators.
My prize goes to the young 4-Her who brought in an exhibit in a small box with a nice description of the creatures' habits and use in the world. My blue ribbon ,number 1 prize goes to the Cockroach display. Yes, ladies and gentlemen boys and girls. Step right up and see em live! The American Cockroches, their long and graceful feelers twitching as they rest (hide) under a small homemade tunnel. Yes sirree they were a nice size too.!
